TIG-3, normal human diploid fibroblast cell strain
The cell strain TIG-3, which was established in our institute, has the finite life span up to 70-80 population doubling levels (PDLs). The cell strain has been widely used by many groups of researchers for investigating the molecular mechanisms of cellular aging and immortalization. The preparation of the 2-D gel proteome database was intended for promoting researches on cellular aging.
